Camping for the weekend is at your discretion. Below are some brief descriptions:
Art Lilley Campground
This is semi-primitive camping. There is a large gravel parking lot. Camping is in the woods outside the lot. There is a pit-style relief facility. It is conveniently located on the Falls Dam trail making it a great option for those who have trail-only rigs. This is sacred ground for long-time Zuwharrie members. The Art Lilley Memorial Campground is dedicated to one of our own original staff members who gave his life serving his country.
Located just around the corner from the Badin Lake group camp is Arrowhead. Arrowhead features full bathroom and shower facilities as well as individual powered and paved campsites. Sites can be reserved online through the park system (recreation.gov). Site fees in this camp area are per day and vary according to the site chosen. This camp area also has a ranger on duty.
Uwharrie allows trail side camping! Again, this is great for those with trail-only rigs. It also provides ring side seats to watch the action! Find a spot you like and setup home for the weekend. Like Art Lilley Camp this is first come, first serve.
TROY & BISCOE, NC
For the less adventurous types, Troy is a short 10 minute drive from the OHV park and has several hotels available to choose from. Biscoe is a little farther away but also has a 24 hour Wal-Mart for any last minute shopping needs. Both offer a wide variety of eating establishments to suit any taste or budget.
